A Little Gardening Help Please…

This year I decided to try to grow tomatoes…so I got a Topsy Turvy and it’s hanging on my patio.  I have 6 tomatoes that grew (yay!) but they are staying green.  They are not turning red at all.  And they’ve been there for awhile.  Is that normal?  I’m not really sure if I’m supposed to pick them or just leave them on the plant.

Advice anyone?

Thanks!

  1. Happy Monday Kayla,

Your garden sounds pretty normal. I have talked to others with gardens from Connecticut to California and all are experiencing the poor results in the garden, uncommon duration of the green stage for tomatoes.

I will post some pictures on my blog of my tomatoes - all sadly green still.

Unless you are going to make fried green tomatoes I think best to wait for some red.

It also depends on the type of tomatoes. There are green ones, I am assuming you bought red.
