Happy New Year!

What are you looking forward to in 2011?

This is what we’re looking forward to…

DSC07667

I’m starting to realize that I really need to get things together for this little lady’s arrival.  Any tips or advice for preparing for baby?

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!  I will be celebrating all of 2010’s blessings with my siblings and looking forward to what 2011 holds!

My Christmas

Have you been wondering what was in the package????  I was so excited to open it and now I can’t wait to use it…

DSC07604 A baby wrap from Lovey Duds!  It’s a bit of a funky fit right now because of my belly, but I can tell I’m going to LOVE it.  I think it’s going to be super comfy!  Oh, and don’t mind how messed up the straps are.  I was too excited to be patient and put it on properly…

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas!  It is always such a busy time, but also a great time to be thankful for so many things.  I am especially thankful for my family and the time we were able to spend with them.  Did I mention how spoiled my baby already is?  She got lots of gifts for Christmas.  Grandma and Grandpa got her this horse:

DSC07700{Kitty is still trying to figure out what it is}

I cannot believe another month has already gone by!  I have a very busy month of January with baby showers and such, so I know time is just going to keep flying by.

On a different note, I would like to say life is precious.  Not only this little life that is growing inside of me, but all of God’s creations!  Today I received a phone call saying that my uncle passed away this morning.  He was a semi truck driver for a logging company and was killed when his semi rolled, spilled it’s logs and went into the ditch.  Such a tragic was to lose a loved one.  He was only 59 years old and the cause of the accident is still unknown.

Always be thankful for life and loved ones.  You never know when you won’t get to see them again.  Even when it might be uncomfortable, tell the people in your life how much you love them.  Family is one of God’s greatest gifts!  Cherish it!

I hate waiting…

Today, this came in the mail:

DSC07554

and I can’t open it!  I know what it is, because it’s what I asked my husband for as a Christmas gift.  But, he said I can’t open it until Christmas.  I hate waiting!  He wants to wrap it for me…

So, for now I’m going to finish sewing what I need to sew today and have some cookies and hot chocolate.

DSC07556

{Just a hint, it’s from Lovey Duds and it’s for the baby.  I could not be more excited!  I’ll share what it is once I get to open it!}

Have a great weekend!

28 Weeks?!?!

I cannot believe how fast time is flying by.  Really, every week seems to go by faster and faster.  Maybe it’s just the time of year and being so busy preparing for Christmas.

I am definitely feeling and seeing  Baby move a lot.  It is such an awesome feeling to know life is growing inside of me.  Thankfully, I can say I’m still feeling great.  The only thing I’ve really noticed is a bit of heartburn.  It’s crazy to think that in less than 3 months I will have a baby!  We are so excited!

It’s incredible how fast I am growing!  Baby is around 1 1/4 lbs. right now and I’m starting to feel her move more throughout the day rather than just at night when I’m laying down.

We’ve been working on things for her nursery and are starting to feel like we’re getting some things accomplished.  I think I have decided which fabric I am going to use for her bedding:

amy_butler_lotus_wall_flower_in_sky[1]

I love Amy Butler and think this will look great with her black furniture and maybe even a light blue accent wall.  It’s so fun to be able to pick all of this out!  Now I need to order the fabric and get to work!

23 weeks and counting…

Yesterday I hit 23 weeks!  Time is going by so quickly.  Only 4 months until I get to hold my sweet baby girl!

I’m still feeling great, but have a feeling a little discomfort is headed my way.  I’m starting to feel out of breath faster (which could also be due to the fact that my allergies are acting up) but that’s about the only thing that has been uncomfortable so far.

So, what was/is something that really helped you throughout your pregnancy?

-Belly Butter? (I’m sure stretch marks are coming!)

-A pregnancy pillow?

-Delicious recipes?

I’d love to hear what you enjoyed throughout your pregnancy!

I Love This Man

Wedding (69) Ephesians 5:25

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her

I love that when I hear this verse, I think of my husband.  He is the most selfless, loving, giving and humble man I know.  He would do anything for me.

I love knowing that regardless of what life brings, he will love me unconditionally.  Really, really love me more than I feel like I deserve sometimes.  And now that we are expecting a baby girl, it melts my heart already to think about the love that he will (and already does) have for our daughter.

I love that he wakes up every morning and goes to work so that I can stay home and fulfill my role as a homemaker and soon to be mommy.  He never complains.  Not once.

He never minds coming home to a wife with messy hair…and no make up.  Not always, but it does happen.  Or when the house isn’t quite as clean as it could be.

Lastly, he is a Godly man.  He desires to fulfill his role as a Godly husband and father…and I admire him for that.  He is a leader and chooses to put God first in his life.

How did I get so lucky?

Some may be kind of hard to see, but here are my ultrasound pictures at 20 weeks along.  Belly is still growing!  :)  I’m still feeling great, feeling the baby move (mostly at night when I am laying on my back) and I love it!

A Great Weekend

DSC07291

My husband and I spent the weekend with my family and had a great time.  When we got to my parent’s house we were greeted by lots of pink. My mom decorated outside and inside with pink balloons and made pink cupcakes that said “It’s a girl”.

We celebrated my birthday while we were there and went baby clothes shopping.  (We got some seriously good deals!)  My husband took engagement photos for my sister and her fiancé.  It’s always busy when we go, but so fun!  All of my siblings are together and we usually stay up late laughing together.  Makes me want to have a big family even more because of how much love fills the house when we are together.

So, today I am thankful for my family.  I am thankful that my daughter is going to be loved so much by people that mean so much to me.  Life is good!

What are you thankful for?

It is so cute and can be made so unique for little ones.  It is the first project on my list for baby girl’s room.

Visit Lil Blue Boo for the tutorial!

Already shopping!

I love Etsy!  There are SO many great shops out there.  I could spend all day looking at all of the awesome, unique handmade products.  Good thing Etsy has the option to make shops and items “favorites” because I could easily lose track of everything I’ve looked at and love.

Here are a few of my new favorite things…

We’re Having a Baby…

GIRL!!!

DSC07235

My ultrasound was this morning and everything looks awesome!  I think my husband and I were in shock because his family has 34 years of all boys.  So, we were expecting to see a little boy but were definitely wrong!  We broke the trend.  We are so excited and our families are extremely excited as well.  Halfway there!  Tomorrow I am 20 weeks along.  I have to say, I feel so blessed to have had such an easy pregnancy so far.

So…

To celebrate I am giving away a set of Little Washies of your choice!

All you have to do is become a Facebook fan of My Bella Baby and comment under the giveaway post there.

Week 17

DON’T FORGET TO ENTER THE MY BELLA BABY BIB GIVEAWAY!!!

DSC07089 - Copy 17 1/2 weeks

Baby is growing!!!

I am slightly getting a baby bump and totally loving it!  Weeks are starting to go by faster and now I only have a little over 2 weeks until we find out what we are having!  Oct. 12th is my ultrasound and I am counting down the days.  It will be so fun to buy gender specific things.  We have been getting a ton of bigger items that are pretty gender neutral anyways, like the crib, highchair, co-sleeper, papasan seat, lots and lots of books and we are working on our collection of gDiapers.  (So, if anyone has used gDiapers to sell, let me know…i am in search!)  We’ve been blessed tremendously by family and friends.  This baby is LOVED…and already kind of spoiled.   Now I’m just waiting to feel the baby move.  I feel like any day now I should start feeling little flutters…

Any guesses on what I am having????
